Situation

An IT professional had spent several years working in Canada before returning to India to care for his aging parents. Back in India, he joined an Indian IT company where his international experience made him a valuable contributor. Years later, his company decided to send him to Australia on deputation. For his Australian work visa, he was required to submit PCCs from every country where he had previously lived — Canada was one of them, requiring an RCMP Certified Criminal Record Check.

Outcome

The RCMP PCC was issued and delivered within the standard processing window. His Australian visa documentation was complete and he was able to proceed with his deputation on schedule — the opportunity intact.

How it Unfolded

Since he was now based in India, Live Scan fingerprinting was unavailable. Manual ink fingerprinting was required with submission through authorised RCMP channels. He contacted Mothishree Forensic Solutions.

How It Was Handled by Mothishree Forensic Solutions

  1. Reviewed his case — his years of residence in Canada, the Australian visa requirement, and the RCMP submission process for applicants based in India.

  2. Scheduled an appointment. Client arrived with his government-issued ID, passport copy, and previous Canadian work permit or PR details.

  3. Captured fingerprints using professional ink rolling technique — ensuring correct pressure, accurate rolling method, and full ridge clarity in compliance with RCMP quality standards.

  4. Accurately completed all required personal details as per RCMP submission requirements.

  5. Processed and submitted the completed fingerprint package through authorised channels for RCMP review.

What This Case Highlights

Many Indian IT professionals who spent years in Canada have returned home — for family, for choice. When an international opportunity comes along years later, the RCMP PCC requirement often catches them by surprise. Manual ink fingerprinting must meet RCMP quality standards, and any rejection means starting over — with weeks lost. Mothishree has personally handled RCMP PCC cases for professionals across immigration and employment requirements.

UAE PCC Without Emirates ID — For an Elderly Couple's US Visitor Visa

Situation:

An elderly Indian couple had spent thirty years in the UAE as Indian citizen expatriate workers. Their son had moved to the United States for higher education. The couple applied for a US B-2 visitor visa to visit their son. The US consulate noted their thirty years of UAE residence and asked them to submit a UAE PCC as part of their documentation. As Indian citizens whose UAE residency had ended years ago, their Emirates IDs had long since lapsed — making the standard online UAE PCC route unavailable. Manual fingerprinting was mandatory. The couple were elderly and unable to travel.

Outcome:

The UAE PCCs were issued for both applicants within the standard processing window. Their US visa documentation was complete and the application moved forward. The couple were able to visit their son in the United States — without having to step out of their home for the fingerprinting process.

Australia AFP Fingerprint-Based Check — For a Work Permit Holder Applying for PR

Situation:

An Indian professional had been living and working in Australia on a work permit for several years and was now applying for Permanent Residency. The Department of Home Affairs required a fingerprint-based National Police Check from the AFP — a more thorough verification than the standard name-based check. He was visiting India during this phase of his application and needed the fingerprinting done before returning to Australia so his PR documentation could move forward without delay.

Outcome:

The fingerprint-based NPC was processed and issued by the AFP. His PR documentation was complete and his application moved forward without any delay. He returned to Australia with this requirement resolved.
