Choose your route

Two routes depending on your Emirates ID status

ROUTE 1

With an Emirates ID

With an Emirates ID, the process is simpler and faster. Application is completed online through UAE official portals (MOI or Dubai Police). Manual fingerprinting is not required in most cases. The PCC is processed digitally and typically issued within 3 to 7 working days.

What you need: Emirates ID, passport copy, basic personal details.

ROUTE 2

Without an Emirates ID

Without an Emirates ID, manual fingerprinting is mandatory. This applies to individuals who left the UAE before Emirates ID was issued, or whose Emirates ID is no longer available. Fingerprints are captured on a fingerprint card, attestation is required in most cases, and the application is submitted through UAE channels.

What you need: passport copy (with visa page if available), previous UAE details if available, passport-size photographs, fingerprint card (we handle this).

Common Misconceptions

What people often get wrong

What is Untrue
What is Actually True

Everyone needs fingerprinting for the UAE PCC

Not true. If you have a valid Emirates ID, fingerprinting is typically not required. The manual fingerprinting route applies only when an Emirates ID is unavailable.

The UAE PCC process is the same for everyone

The process differs significantly based on Emirates ID availability. Choosing the wrong route wastes time and may result in rejection.

Attestation is not required

For the route without an Emirates ID, attestation of the fingerprint document is required in most cases. Missing this step causes delays.
